FACT DIALOGUE at COP 30: Leaving no one and no forest behind by enabling mutually beneficial transparency and smallholder inclusion in sustainable agri-food chains

This session will explore pathways for inclusive and context-sensitive transformations of commodity chains—such as soy, beef, cocoa, coffee, timber, and oil palm—toward sustainable production and equitable trade. Bringing together 28 member countries, the FACT Dialogue provides a trusted platform for international cooperation at the intersection of agriculture and forests, advancing its vision of leaving no one and no forest behind.

As achieving zero-deforestation supply chains comes with challenges and opportunities, this session will highlight how transparency, traceability, and smallholder inclusion can work hand-in-hand to ensure just and effective transitions. Discussions will spotlight actionable policy guidance and tools to strengthen interoperable, mutually beneficial transparency systems along agri-food value chains. In the spirit of COP30’s mutirão and the Dialogue’s collaborative approach, the event will also showcase key products developed by the Secretariat and member countries over the year, including the Traceability and Transparency (T&T) Paper and related case studies.
