This compendium showcases and synthesises 11 national case studies contributed by members of the Forest, Agriculture and Commodity Trade (FACT) Dialogue. The cases document how governments are developing practical systems to support sustainable commodity supply while maintaining access to international markets. Rather than comparing national models, the report examines how these systems are actually built in practice. The cases span both producer and consumer countries, and together illustrate how sustainable supply systems emerge through the interaction of production policies, verification frameworks, and market requirements. In doing so, it provides policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders with practical insights that can inform policy and programme development in different contexts. This compendium comes at a time when governments and markets are increasingly seeking practical ways to reconcile agricultural production, forest protection, and international trade, making national experience particularly valuable for informing emerging policy and market frameworks.
